CDL-A Local Hazmat Driver – $80K + $5K BONUS
About The Position
Drive dedicated overnight routes based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, delivering auto parts. The role involves overnight multi-stop deliveries and shuttle runs using dry van trailers. Drivers unload freight at each stop with a liftgate and electric pallet jack and operate automatic-transmission sleeper tractors. Drivers are home daily and are paid weekly. Average annual pay is $80,000, with mileage pay of $0.604 per mile and stop pay of $25 per stop. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with the first payment after 30 days. Hazmat endorsement training assistance is available for qualified drivers who begin the endorsement process upon hire. The schedule is five days per week with two consecutive days off. Available schedules are Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, with dispatch between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
- Must be at least 22 years old.
- Hazmat endorsement required, or willingness to begin the endorsement process upon hire.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions.
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire.
- Must meet English-language requirements for communication, understanding traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and maintaining records.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- Drivers with SAP status are not eligible.
- Ability to safely unload freight using a liftgate and electric pallet jack.
