About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on assigned route schedules. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as business needs require.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Pass employment testing.
Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and have a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Be flexible to work overtime as required and weekends and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience.
Six months of food and beverage experience.
Two years of consistent work history.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer.
Manually unload and deliver products to customer locations according to assigned route schedules.
Build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude.
Become familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations.
Lift, push, or move freight weighing an average of 40–60 pounds and up to 100 pounds, as needed.
