About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on assigned routes. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and learn customers’ operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly. The role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 and may include participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Compensation is listed as $10.00–$48.00; actual pay may depend on skills, years of experience, and other factors.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass employment testing.
Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and have a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
Be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience.
Six months of food and beverage experience.
Two years of consistent work history.
