About The Position

Sysco is hiring a dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with customers through a positive, friendly attitude and learn about customer operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most CDL A drivers have daily routes and are home nightly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass employment testing.
• Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Must be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer delivery experience.
• Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience.
• Six months of food and beverage experience.
• Two years of consistent work history.
