About The Position

Sysco has immediate openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with customers through a positive, friendly attitude and learn their operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly. The role may involve overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass employment testing.
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Must be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience preferred.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred.
Six months of food and beverage experience preferred.
Two years of consistent work history preferred.
