About The Position

Sysco is hiring dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on assigned routes. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and learn customer operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 and compensation of $10.00–$48.00; actual pay may depend on skills, experience, and other factors. Drivers may be eligible for the Company’s Incentive Plan. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass employment testing.
• Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Must be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as required and weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months of food and beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
