About The Position
Drive dedicated freight on local routes, with daily home time and evening starts. The role pays $68,000-$74,000 annually, with average weekly pay of $1,350-$1,450 paid weekly. Drivers work consistent 10-12 hour shifts, at least 4-5 days per week and up to 6 days based on customer needs. The operation runs Monday through Saturday, with start times between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and scheduling that may vary based on volume. The position requires manual loading and unloading and may involve covering box truck routes as needed. Travel to cover other locations may include Richmond, VA, Charlotte, NC, and nearby areas. Qualifying travel includes paid travel time, per diem, and a hotel or rental car.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Must be at least 22 years old.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
- Must meet DOT Clearinghouse requirements.
- Additional qualifications may apply.
