CDL-A Flatbed Steel Hauler
About The Position
This dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight account offers dependable weekly earnings and weekend home time. Drivers will haul smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets from a customer near Calvert, Alabama. Backhaul loads are assigned after each delivery to ensure productive miles and avoid empty returns. The role requires drivers to be comfortable hauling steel products and securing loads safely, with approximately 75% of loads requiring tarping. Drivers will be assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors and 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped with necessary securement tools.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years.
- Minimum six months of flatbed experience.
- Steel-hauling experience required.
- Current coil-hauling certification required.
- Experience with tarping and load securement required.
- Acceptable driving record required.
Responsibilities
- Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight.
- Complete backhaul loads to position for the next outbound load.
- Secure loads safely, including tarping approximately 75% of loads.
- Perform live loading and unloading.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record.
