About The Position

This CDL-A driving position offers dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight with organized backhaul planning, weekend home time, and weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100. Drivers will haul dedicated stainless-steel freight from a customer near Calvert, Alabama, before moving available backhaul freight that helps position the truck for the next outbound load. Weekend home time with a 34-hour reset supports a predictable work schedule while maintaining strong weekly earning potential. Drivers stay with the same trailer throughout each trip. Freight is primarily live loaded and live unloaded, giving experienced flatbed drivers a consistent operating routine instead of drop-and-hook freight. Outbound loads include smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets. Approximately 75% of shipments require tarping with lighter six-foot drop tarps designed for this account. Tarp pay is included as part of the account's overall compensation program.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience
• Steel-hauling experience required
• Current coil-hauling certification required
• Experience with tarping and load securement required
• Acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight
• Plan and execute backhaul loads
• Tarp loads as required (approximately 75% of shipments)
• Secure loads using winches and straps
• Perform live loading and unloading
