About The Position

This dedicated CDL-A flatbed driving position focuses on hauling stainless steel freight, offering consistent weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100. Drivers can expect to be home every weekend with a 34-hour reset, and will handle planned backhaul loads. The role involves dedicated stainless-steel customer freight originating near Calvert, Alabama, with backhaul freight planned towards Alabama to ensure efficient equipment movement. Drivers will primarily live load and unload, remaining with the same trailer throughout each trip. Approximately 75% of loads require tarping using provided six-foot drop tarps, with tarp pay included in the overall compensation. This position is ideal for experienced flatbed drivers comfortable with hauling steel products, securing freight, and working with tarp loads.

Requirements

Valid CDL-A license
Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
Minimum six months of flatbed experience
Steel-hauling experience
Current coil-hauling certification
Experience with tarping and load securement

Responsibilities

Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight
Handle backhaul loads
Secure freight using winches and straps
Tarp loads using six-foot drop tarps (approximately 75% of loads)
Perform live loading and unloading
Maintain an acceptable driving record
