About The Position
This dedicated CDL-A flatbed steel hauler position offers consistent weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100, with dependable weekend home time. Drivers will haul dedicated stainless-steel freight from a customer near Calvert, Alabama, and will also handle backhaul loads to position the truck effectively. The role involves driving assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers. Freight includes stainless-steel coils and flat sheets, with approximately 75% of shipments requiring tarping using provided six-foot drop tarps. The pay includes tarp pay. Drivers will stay with the same trailer throughout each trip and will experience primarily live loading and unloading, providing a consistent operating routine.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
- Minimum six months of flatbed experience
- Steel-hauling experience required
- Current coil-hauling certification required
- Experience with tarping and load securement required
- Acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight from a customer near Calvert, Alabama.
- Pick up available backhaul freight to position the truck for the next outbound load.
- Operate assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers.
- Tarp approximately 75% of shipments using six-foot drop tarps.
- Manage primarily live loading and unloading processes.
- Ensure reduced empty miles between loads.
