About The Position

The Harrisburg Local Intermodal CDL-A Driver operates local intermodal routes within a 250-mile radius of the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania hub, with no New York City runs. Drivers move 2 to 5 loads per day, with priority loading at Norfolk Southern railyards, and are home daily. The role uses slip-seat day cabs and 53-foot box trailers. Drivers must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions unless restricted to automatic. Compensation is advertised at $92,000–$99,000 annualized ($1,770–$1,900 per week), with activity-based pay of $0.62–$0.67 per mile, $88 per live stop, and $57 per drop/hook, plus hourly and accessorial pay. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Drivers choose from Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, or Wednesday–Sunday schedules, with morning, afternoon, or night start windows. Requirements include at least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience and obtaining a hazmat endorsement within 60 days. The $60 fingerprint fee is reimbursed. Pre-employment hair follicle and DOT drug screens are required.
