About The Position
Drive local intermodal routes within a 250-mile radius of the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania hub, pulling 53-foot box trailers. Freight is mostly no-touch. The role offers predictable daily mileage and home-daily schedules. Drivers work Thursday through Monday, with start times between 2 PM and 7 PM and shifts typically lasting 10 to 11 hours. Annualized compensation is $91,400–$97,000 ($1,757–$1,865 per week), with activity-based pay of $0.54–$0.64 per mile, $70 per live stop, and $42 per drop/hook. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins after 30 days; PTO accrues from day one.
Requirements
- At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days; reimbursement is covered.
- Pass pre-employment hair follicle and urine drug screenings.
