About The Position

This local CDL-A intermodal driving position operates from the Lancaster and Ayer, Massachusetts area. Drivers make local container runs within a 250-mile radius of the Ayer ramp, north of Worcester, with no New York City operations. Drivers are home daily, and trucks remain at the Lancaster yard during time off. The position offers an average of $1,673 weekly, or $87,000 to $95,000 annually. Compensation includes $0.42 to $0.47 per mile, $40 per drop-and-hook, $60 stop pay, and additional accessorial pay for rail delays, hazmat loads, and driver unloads. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Schedules include either Monday through Friday with start times between 14:00 and 17:00, or Friday through Tuesday or Saturday through Wednesday with start times between 05:00 and 06:00. Shifts are 10 to 12 hours, with occasional flexibility as needed; the final schedule is confirmed on the welcome call. This is a 24/7 operation, and trucks are shared with another driver. Riders are not permitted. Uniforms are required, and applicants must complete pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol screening.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 22 years old.
At least 3 months of tractor-trailer seat time within the last 3 years.
