About The Position

NIS Express is now accepting applications from entry level CDL-A drivers in Valdosta, GA. If you hold a valid Class A CDL and recently completed truck driving school, this is your next step. Training involves a personal trainer for 3 to 5 weeks, running real freight on real routes, with evaluations along the way. Drivers are paid throughout the training period. Once trained, drivers will operate a Class A tractor-trailer within all DOT regulations, hauling no-touch dry van freight with drop and hook for approximately 70% of loads. Key responsibilities include hitting delivery windows, maintaining on-time performance, keeping ELD logs and trip paperwork accurate, completing vehicle inspections, and maintaining professional contact with dispatch and customers.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must clear DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer within all DOT regulations
• Haul no-touch dry van freight – drop and hook approximately 70% of loads
• Hit delivery windows and maintain strong on-time performance
• Keep ELD logs, DVIRs and all trip paperwork accurate and current
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections before and after every shift
• Stay in clear professional contact with dispatch and customers
• Safe Class A tractor-trailer operation on real routes
• ELD operation and hours-of-service compliance
• Pre and post-trip inspection procedures
• Dispatch communication and company road procedures
