NIS Express is now accepting applications from entry level CDL-A drivers in Hattiesburg, MS. If you hold a valid Class A CDL and recently completed truck driving school, this is your next step. During training, you are assigned a personal trainer on day one. For 3 to 5 weeks, you will run real freight together on real routes. You will be evaluated along the way and go solo only when you are ready. You are paid throughout the entire training period. The training covers safe Class A tractor-trailer operation on real routes, ELD operation and hours-of-service compliance, pre and post-trip inspection procedures, and dispatch communication and company road procedures. Day-to-day on the job involves operating a Class A tractor-trailer within all DOT regulations, hauling no-touch dry van freight with drop and hook for approximately 70% of loads, hitting delivery windows and maintaining strong on-time performance, keeping ELD logs, DVIRs and all trip paperwork accurate and current, completing thorough vehicle inspections before and after every shift, and staying in clear professional contact with dispatch and customers.
