CDL-A Driver Paid Training Program for Entry Level
About The Position
We are hiring CDL-A drivers in the Columbus, MS area for OTR routes with a personally assigned truck and 100% no-touch dry van freight. New CDL-A holders and experienced drivers are both welcome to apply. New CDL-A holders will participate in a 3 to 5 week mentorship program with guaranteed weekly pay, a dedicated trainer, and a truck that is yours once you are solo. Experienced drivers can move directly into solo operations if they meet the requirements. The freight is 100% no-touch dry van, meaning no loading or unloading, just driving. The schedule is 14 days out with 2 full days at home.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- 21 years or older
- Solid driving record and work history
- Pass DOT drug test and background check
- Meet all applicable DOT and company requirements
- For new CDL-A holders: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school, plus completion of the company training program
- For experienced drivers: at least 6 months verifiable solo driving time (mentor/trainer time does not count)
Responsibilities
- Drive OTR routes
- Operate a 2024 or newer Kenworth T680 or Freightliner Cascadia with automatic transmission
- Transport 100% no-touch dry van freight
- Adhere to a schedule of 14 days out and 2 full days home
- Participate in a 3 to 5 week mentorship program (for new CDL-A holders)
- Maintain a solid driving record and work history
