About The Position

US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to deliver products safely and reliably to customers. The role involves driving on highways and city streets, navigating tight loading docks, and unloading products into designated storage areas. Drivers provide professional customer service and help ensure accurate, dependable deliveries. This is a Monday–Friday position based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with start times between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. The stated base rate is $37.38 per hour, with overtime compensation available as applicable. Benefits begin on day one.

Requirements

• Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL issued by the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Have at least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or at least 3 months of commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery.
• Read and communicate in English, including conversing, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and entering information on reports and records.
• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, or lower 20 to 80+ pounds during each shift.
• Drive and work in inclement weather, with 10 or more stops per shift.
• Work in a multi-temperature environment, including temperatures as low as 0 degrees.
• Continuously grasp and manipulate objects; frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb or balance, stoop or squat, kneel or bend, reach above the shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

• Ability to operate a manual transmission; this may be required at specific locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unload products using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas; deliveries are 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Provide professional service to enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
