About The Position

US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to deliver products safely and reliably to customers. Drivers navigate highways and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload deliveries with precision. The role involves 100% touch freight and requires placing products in designated storage areas. Drivers start at $35 per hour during training and earn $38.80 per hour after training, with daily overtime after eight hours. Eligible new hires may receive a $15,000 retention bonus. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, with flexibility for a four- or five-day work week and a 3 a.m.–6 a.m. start time. The position is located in Clifton Park, New York. Benefits begin on day one.

Requirements

Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
Have at least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or at least three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
Be able to read and communicate in English, including holding a conversation, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and entering information on reports and records.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and lower 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift.
Be able to drive and work in inclement weather, make frequent stops (10 or more per shift), and work in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.
Be able to continuously grasp and manipulate objects and frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb or balance, stoop or squat, kneel or bend, reach above the shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
Unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas.
Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
Provide professional service to enhance the customer experience.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Handle collections and payments when applicable.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
