CDL A Delivery Driver
About The Position
Superior Beverage Group is a family-owned and operated company that has been around since 1922. Local CDL A Delivery Drivers deliver beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to retail accounts along established assigned routes using company vehicles. The role involves reading and understanding maps, completing daily driver logs and pre- and post-trip truck inspections, and working in a fast-paced, physical environment. Drivers must be able to work in all weather extremes, including hot or cold, wet or dry conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 5 and 7 a.m. and continuing until deliveries are finished; drivers are home for dinner. The position is full-time and based in Columbus, Ohio, with a listed pay rate of $24.00 per hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Valid CDL A license.
- Ability to maneuver 168-pound kegs and 35-pound cases at delivery locations.
- Solid math skills.
- Ability to read and understand a map.
- Ability to complete pre- and post-trip inspections and driver logs.
- Ability to operate company trucks, forklifts, and equipment dolly.
- Ability to perform duties outdoors in varied weather conditions, including hot or cold and wet or dry conditions.
Responsibilities
- Complete delivery routes in the assigned sequence and within time constraints.
- Rotate company products at retail accounts.
- Accurately calculate the amount due and collect payment for products delivered at each account.
- Complete all required paperwork during the driver check-in process at the end of the daily route.
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and driver logs.
- Operate company trucks, forklifts, and equipment dolly.
