About The Position

This full-time CDL-A driving position hauls dedicated automotive freight on established customer lanes. The role is based in the Austin, Texas area and provides approximately 2,500 miles per week, weekly pay of $1,700 to $1,800, and a weekly 34-hour reset. Company drivers are paid $0.70 per mile, with both loaded and empty miles paid. The dedicated operation supports three automotive freight lanes originating in Laredo, Texas, with deliveries to Illinois, Tennessee, and/or Mississippi. Freight includes automotive parts and racks, and return freight may include empty automotive racks. Loads involve a mix of drop-and-hook and live loading and unloading. Drivers should be prepared to run over the weekend and use their available driving hours to maintain consistent weekly mileage. Drivers operate late-model automatic-transmission trucks, including Peterbilt 579 equipment, with assignment based on availability. Trucks are equipped with inverters and refrigerators. Company benefits are available after the applicable eligibility period.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Current DOT medical card.
At least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last 12 months, or 1 year within the last 3 years.
Experience must include operating a tractor with a 40-foot or longer trailer.
Meet applicable driver qualification and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Transport dedicated automotive freight on established customer lanes originating in Laredo, Texas, with deliveries to Illinois, Tennessee, and/or Mississippi.
Handle a mix of drop-and-hook loads and live loading and unloading.
Transport automotive parts and rack freight; return freight may include empty automotive racks.
Use available driving hours to maintain consistent weekly mileage and be prepared to run over the weekend.
Operate assigned late-model automatic-transmission equipment.
