CDL-A Dedicated Driver
About The Position
This is a dedicated store-delivery driving role based out of the Shafter distribution center. Drivers serve retail stores in the Central Valley, the Los Angeles basin, and Las Vegas, with repeat routes to the same stores week after week. The role is described as home daily, although occasional overnight stays may be needed during peak season. Drivers run night routes, including weekends and holidays. The position averages about $1,200 in weekly gross pay while covering around 2,000 miles per week. Mileage pay varies by experience, starting at $0.59 per mile at one year and increasing annually up to $0.68 per mile. Additional pay includes $15 for store sweeps and backhauls and $20 extra for loads under 100 miles.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years old.
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience.
- Live within 40 miles of the Shafter distribution center.
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
- No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
- No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
- Pass hair and urine drug testing.
