About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is hiring a CCU Registered Nurse for its partner healthcare facility in Lewiston, Maine. The role is in the Coronary Care Unit and offers day shifts for a 12-week assignment. The position involves overseeing nursing staff and patient care during the assigned shift, supporting unit operations, and providing direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios. The role pays up to $624–$720 gross per shift, equivalent to $52.00–$60.00 per hour. Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers weekly pay, career-specialist support, and flexible opportunities. The exact starting compensation will be determined when an applicant is selected, taking into account factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of staff nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting; critical care experience is required.
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement immediate care plan changes to promote patient safety.
- Conduct patient and family rounding to enhance the patient experience.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
- Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
- Support daily unit operations and communicate patient care or safety concerns.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff, and assist with performance management.
- Ensure adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with departments to support efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Oversee nursing staff and patient care during the assigned shift.
