About The Position

At Centinela Hospital Medical Center, the Cath Lab / IR Technologist works under the general direction of a Cardiologist or Radiologist. The technologist assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data. The position is certified to operate fluoroscopy/pan with a Fluoro CA license addendum. The technologist prepares the procedure room, monitors instrument and supply levels, and supports invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Duties also include preparing the power injector and contrast medium, administering contrast during procedures, and monitoring injector rates and the quantity of contrast administered. The role participates in staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training new staff.

Requirements

ARRT-R certification and licenses required by the state.
BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

Scrub procedures and/or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
