About The Position

Sherman Oaks Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab / IR Technologist to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the technologist scrubs procedures or monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data. The role includes preparing the procedure room, monitoring instrument and supply par levels, participating in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, training new staff, and assisting in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Requirements

ARRT-R and state-required license, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), required.
BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be kept current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with an emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular lab procedures under physician direction.
Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared.
Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Assist with training new staff.
Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
