About The Position

Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The technologist prepares the procedure room, monitors par levels of instruments and supplies, participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and helps train new staff. The role also assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification and state-required license, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
• BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
• Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program emphasizing invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities
