About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist assists with diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data. The technologist prepares the procedure room, monitors instrument and supply par levels, participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and helps train new staff. The role also assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification and state-required license, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
- BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
