About The Position

The Catering Transport Assistant supports transportation operations by helping move catering equipment and supplies between the flight kitchen and aircraft. Working alongside Catering Transport Drivers, the assistant helps ensure catering items are delivered accurately, safely, and on time. The role supports on-time departures and operational efficiency within Sky Café operations. It involves physical work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and may include airport outdoor conditions and temperature-controlled areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry 50 or more pounds.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods of 8 or more hours.
• Be able to work in varying environments, including outdoor airport conditions and temperature-controlled areas.
• Be able to obtain and maintain required airport and security clearances, such as badging and RAIC as applicable.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screen, including TSA and Customs requirements.
• Be able to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Be able to perform the essential requirements satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, stage, and prepare catering equipment and carts for assigned flights.
• Assist with loading and unloading catering products and equipment to and from transport vehicles and aircraft.
• Verify catering items against flight documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Position and handle catering equipment according to operational procedures.
• Retrieve inbound carts and equipment and return them to the flight kitchen.
• Communicate with drivers, team members, and airline personnel to support daily operations.
• Complete activities within required timelines.
• Follow safety, security, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Support cross-functional tasks within catering and warehouse operations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
