About The Position

National Aviation Services is hiring Building Maintenance Cleaners to perform janitorial functions at Cleveland International Airport (CLE). The role cleans rooms, offices, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, jet bridges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, game rooms, and other areas assigned by the Station Manager. This is a third-shift position, and applicants must be available to work that shift.

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• Three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
• Must secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges, if applicable.
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice in emergencies or when operationally necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license if required by the airport authority to operate a vehicle or equipment.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and number series.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, mop, dry mop, and polish floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays.
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Clean and wipe down break room appliances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
