About The Position

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring a full-time Catering Server to join the team at Hudson Yards in New York, New York. The role provides customer service while serving food and beverages in a banquet setting, ensuring guests' needs are met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate is friendly, positive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hudson Yards is an urban neighborhood featuring dining, retail, cultural venues, residential and office towers, and views of the Empire State Building.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and listening skills, including the ability to take food and beverage orders and fill them correctly.
• Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Mobility to maneuver between tables.
• No high school diploma or GED is required.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 months of previous food and beverage service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables for functions according to the banquet event order.
• Transport food and beverages to guests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Serve guests by taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishes.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and follow unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Monitor guest needs, promptly fulfill requests, and handle guest complaints.
• Replenish food on buffet lines when applicable.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members.
• Break down events according to company procedures.
