About The Position
A Bartender makes, mixes and pours alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests at the bar and restaurant. The role provides friendly, cheerful, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional guest experience. The Bartender reports to the Caffe Manager. This is a seasonal position starting in November and ending the first week of January.
Requirements
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of beer and wine.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, often including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain stationary for periods up to 8 hours.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and exert well-paced mobility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use draughts, wine keys, cash registers, and Point of Sales systems.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare drinks, serve wine and bottled beers, and draw draught beer from kegs.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create an attractive display and merchandise drinks.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bar that meets Department of Health standards.
- Comply with food and beverage regulations.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
