About The Position

Aramark is hiring a Catering Manager to manage catering services for a prominent business dining account in Toronto. The Catering Manager is responsible for the planning, ordering, coordination, and flawless execution of daily catered events. This position is responsible for events from start to finish including receiving menu orders, food ordering, event details, budgets, invoicing and procuring external items as required. This is predominately a Monday - Friday Day Shift work schedule. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in client service by providing a level of service that not only meets but exceeds expectations. Requirements

  • 3-5 years upscale Catering management experience
  • Completion of Hospitality or Food and Beverage program is preferred
  • Strong leadership ability, organizational skills, multi-tasking, and staff management is required
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office; ability to manage multiple electronic files; invoicing
  • Exceptional customer service, people skills and attention to detail are necessary
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in planning events and provide creative solutions to meet with their needs
  • Develop and maintain effective client rapport and relationships
  • Process daily catering requests for meetings, luncheons, special events
  • Facilitate the ordering and delivery of prepared foods and event set up from client orders
  • Procure any rentals, equipment, linens, floral arrangements, chattels as required
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenditures, and receivables
  • Arrange staffing for events; outsource additional third-party staff if needed
  • Recruit, train, and lead catering employees to ensure event quality standards in final presentation
  • Oversee the execution of events with attention to detail for every component
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
