CATERING ATTENDANT (FULL AND PART TIME)
About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are executed accurately during the shift. Duties may include driving a catering delivery truck. The attendant sets up and serves at functions, cleans the event area during and after events, breaks down the setup, leaves the area neat and clean, and returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner. This position is at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The schedule has open availability, with days and shifts that may vary. The job is offered in full-time and part-time positions. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled. Educational facility breaks may result in periods without work, which may be unpaid and treated as a temporary layoff; year-round work, potentially at another location during breaks, may be required depending on business needs.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.

- Prior catering experience.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Thoroughly clean the location after events.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide guests with friendly, courteous service.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
