Catering Attendant (Full Time And Part Time)
About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are accurately executed during the shift. Duties include setting up event spaces and buffet tables, serving guests, cleaning during and after events, breaking down setups, and promptly returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility. The attendant may drive a catering delivery truck. This position is based at Compass One Eurest, 510 14th Street, Arlington, Virginia. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary. Catering experience is required. The pay range is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Catering experience is required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled catering locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Set up buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Clean event locations thoroughly after functions.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to guests.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu and available products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
