About The Position

At Fogo de Chão, the Catering Specialist coordinates catering, including pickup and delivery orders, and facilitates activities to enhance the Guest experience at catering events. The role conveys the organization’s gratitude to catering guests and preserves and shares the festive, hospitable, and gracious spirit of Southern Brazilian traditions. The position also supports local events and business networking activities to grow catering brand awareness.

Requirements

• Must be pleasant when dealing with Guests and team members and able to perform in demanding situations.
• Must be physically capable of performing basic duties.
• Must be able to endure prolonged walking and standing.
• Must have 2 years of experience in a Restaurant/Retail/Hospitality Customer Service position.
• Must be knowledgeable of Fogo’s menu and mission.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Must be physically able to drive a vehicle.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Must be able to use a personal vehicle for deliveries and offsite events.

Responsibilities

• Guide Guests through catering menu offerings and pricing, and help plan menus and orders, including delivery requests.
• Coordinate order details with the restaurant team and lead and schedule catering pickups and deliveries.
• Confirm each catering order’s details with the Guest before the event, including menu, pickup or delivery time, delivery type, packaging needs, special requests, and delivery instructions.
• Execute catering orders and deliveries with a high standard of organization and accuracy.
• Provide a hospitable experience throughout the catering and delivery process.
• Train the Assistant Catering Specialist on Fogo service standards.
• Respond to and resolve Guest concerns and questions clearly and concisely.
• Anticipate and prevent potential service or product breakdowns.
• Immediately escalate Guest and team questions, concerns, and issues to management.
• Know catering menu items, their contents, and preparation methods.
• Follow up on catering inquiries and leads to secure future business.
• Stay informed about company marketing and promotional activities.
• Coordinate and attend local events as requested.
• Attend business and networking events as requested to grow catering brand awareness.
• Watch for objects, conditions, or substances that could cause injury to Guests or team members.
• Follow Fogo safety rules and guidelines.
• Perform reasonable tasks assigned by management.
