Requirements

• Must be able to catch a certain amount of birds.
• Must know proper placement techniques for birds in cages.
• Must be able to follow animal welfare guidelines.
• Must be able to count birds loaded into cages.
• Must be able to acquire and wear required PPE (Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves (optional), arm sleeves (optional)).
• Must be able to perform routine stretches before starting daily duties.
• Must be able to walk the house (bed the birds).
• Must be able to wait for cage to be set on blocks.
• Must be able to open cage door.
• Must be able to catch the correct amount of birds.
• Must be able to load birds in cage one hand at a time.
• Must be able to repeat process until cage is full.
• Must be able to shut the cage door after the proper amount of birds are placed in the cage.
• Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must have employment eligibility verification.

Responsibilities

• Catch certain amount of birds and know the proper placement techniques with birds being put into the cages.
• Insure animal welfare guidelines are followed.
• Count amount of birds loaded into the cages.
• Acquire and put on all required PPE (Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves (optional), arm sleeves (optional)).
• Perform routine stretches before starting daily duties.
• Walk the house (bed the birds).
• Wait for cage to be set on blocks.
• Open cage door.
• Catch correct amount of birds.
• Load birds in cage one hand at a time.
• Repeat process until cage is full.
• After proper amount of birds placed in cage, shut the cage door.
