Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a service-minded Catastrophe Claims Representative for its CAT Claims team. The role responds to catastrophe storm events by investigating, evaluating, and negotiating property claim assignments involving homeowner, farm, and commercial risks. The representative works from an office setting using virtual tools and is not required to be physically present at catastrophe sites. The role handles minor to moderate storm damage claims across the eight property and casualty states, using virtual inspection tools. Responsibilities include evaluating coverage and damage, issuing payments, setting reserves, negotiating settlements, and documenting a defensible claim file. During storm events, the representative reviews field adjuster estimates and handles claims through conclusion. During non-storm periods, the representative may assist property staff with supplemental and replacement-cost claims. The role also works with the CAT Claims Manager to improve storm-claim handling processes and may seek input from property claims managers, engineers, reinsurers, legal counsel, and casualty consultants. The company describes a culture centered on integrity, teamwork, passion, service, leadership, and accountability. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis; the company does not offer immigration sponsorship for this role.
