Cat Sitter
About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers to provide in-home cat sitting visits in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area while clients are away. This flexible, part-time independent contractor position allows sitters to set their availability and service area, with clients matched to them. The role involves caring for cats and helping pet parents travel with peace of mind while building trust with repeat clients. Service options include drop-in visits of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, one to three times daily; extended daytime visits of 2–8 hours; overnight stays of 10 hours; and 24-hour live-in care with overnight care. Visits most often occur while clients are traveling, so weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening availability is especially valuable.
Requirements
- Experience with cat care, especially in a pet-sitting capacity.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort working independently in clients’ homes.
- A smartphone with reliable internet access and a camera.
Nice To Haves
- Experience administering medication, including oral medication, injections, or fluids.
- Availability on holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Feed cats and refresh their water.
- Clean litter boxes.
- Provide playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality.
- Send visit updates and photos through the company app.
- Follow each client’s detailed care instructions.
- Bring in mail or packages when requested.
- Adjust lights or blinds and handle trash or recycling when requested.
- Administer medication when within the sitter’s experience and comfort level.
