About The Position

As CAT District Sales Manager - East for JLG, an Oshkosh company, this role is responsible for implementing overall sales and marketing plans and managing assigned accounts, including branch operations, within the eastern region. The position develops JLG’s business with Cat Dealers, supports market penetration, and works toward assigned account sales targets. The role combines office-based administrative responsibilities with work in field or production environments. It requires being located near a major airline hub and involves significant travel, up to 75%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Six or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain a complete Business Planning Document for assigned accounts as part of the Sales function.
Provide input to market development, sales promotion, distribution, and pricing policies to support market penetration.
Analyze and report market trends, market potential, and sales forecasts.
Recommend product changes, additions, improvements, or deletions in alignment with JLG product life cycle management.
Work with JLG sales personnel to develop existing and new Cat Dealers.
Train Cat Dealer sales and office personnel on JLG products.
Maintain effective working relationships with Cat Dealer principals to support their commitment to and pursuit of JLG product sales.
Provide and document competitive activity and information.
Achieve sales targets for assigned accounts.
Maintain ongoing communication with Equipment Services, Access Financial Services, and Customer Support Group.
Develop information for JLG Management for required reports.
Prepare other required reports on time and document minutes of important meetings with assigned distributors.
