CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer•New York, IN
•$62,460 - $83,400•Remote

About The Position

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a remote Casualty Evaluator to manage injury claims and related casualty matters. The evaluator is assigned as the owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified and handles represented and unrepresented first- and third-party cases appropriate for resolution within an independent settlement authority of up to $50,000. Claims may involve multiple states, including licensed and statutory states; an Oklahoma license is required. The role may also handle low-complexity homeowner liability property damage claims, small claims matters, catastrophe-related low-complexity claims, and first-party Medical Payment and PIP claims. The position is remote-first, with the option to work in an office setting and the ability to work from home or other CSAA locations. The evaluator manages claims from investigation through negotiation, settlement, or other resolution; makes coverage determinations; communicates with customers and claimants; and independently settles claims within assigned authority. Cases above that authority are presented to a committee, after which the evaluator independently negotiates and settles the claim. Rare duties may include representing insureds or the company at settlement conferences, arbitrations, or trials, and providing deposition testimony. The role is open to applicants in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. The company does not provide visa sponsorship, and applicants must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States. The national average salary range is $62,460–$69,400; the starting range across hiring states is $62,460–$83,400, with location-based compensation. The Colorado range is $62,460–$76,550. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 7% of eligible pay.
