About The Position

Regal Cinemas at The Shoppes at Ithaca Mall is hiring part-time Cast Members to provide guest service, cleanliness, and a positive movie-going experience in a diverse, energetic environment. Cast Members are the face of Regal and may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher, depending on theatre needs and employee availability. Team members are expected to represent Regal consistently with its mission and policies, maintain regular and consistent attendance, respond to emergencies when called upon, perform general cleaning duties, and follow the company dress code. Role-specific work may include ticket and concession sales, ushering, guest assistance, equipment operation and cleaning, crowd control, auditorium inspections, and opening or closing duties. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Availability to work weekends is required.
• Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.
• Good public-speaking, listening, and clear and direct response skills.
• Ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately and identify and correct errors.
• Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach evidence-based conclusions, take initiative, and perform under pressure or opposition.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.

• If assigned alcohol selling or serving duties, be of legal age under applicable state or local law and complete required legal training and certification as well as Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest service by selling tickets and concessions and/or working as an usher.
• Represent Regal in accordance with its mission statement and policies; maintain regular and consistent attendance, respond to emergencies when called upon, perform general cleaning duties, and comply with the company dress code.
• In the Box Office, operate the POS system and accurately handle cash drawers, cards, checks, gift cards, discount tickets, passes, and coupons.
• Upsell or suggest Premium Viewing Experiences, promote the Regal Crown Club, sell tickets according to the MPAA rating system and company policy, and respond to guest calls and questions.
• In Concessions, operate the POS system, handle payments and coupons accurately, monitor concession inventory, operate, prepare, and clean concession equipment, and upsell products.
• Comply with applicable food safety laws and laws concerning breaks and meal periods; maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable.
• As an Usher, tear and collect ticket stubs, direct guests to auditoriums, inspect backpacks and packages when applicable, manage crowd control, and help guests find seats.
• Enforce the MPAA rating system and inspect auditoriums for picture and sound quality, content theft, and a safe environment.
• Report theatre problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
• Perform in-auditorium concession sales when directed by management.
• Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, the lobby, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums.
• Monitor theatre vending equipment for cleanliness and operation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
• Complete the cast certification program and box office cashier certification, or make progress toward completion.
• Complete legally required alcohol training and certification and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training if assigned alcohol sales or service duties.
• Read and understand training materials covering topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
