About The Position

As the EVS Porter, you support the daily operations of the Environmental Services department by maintaining cleanliness in guest and team member areas. The role contributes to excellent guest service, sanitation standards, and a safe, welcoming, and attractive environment. Attention to cleanliness and detail helps maintain the property’s appearance and operational readiness.

The position involves cleaning public areas and restrooms, removing debris, vacuuming and maintaining floors, and replenishing supplies. It also requires following applicable gaming laws, internal controls, company policies and procedures, and federal regulations when applicable. The role includes frequent standing and walking, handling loads up to 50 pounds, and working in an environment that may include smoke, noise, flashing lights, extreme temperatures, slippery surfaces, and dust, fumes, or gases.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards required by the company.
• Verify the right to work in the United States.
• Frequently push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels.
• Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, and twist; frequently stand and walk.
• Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone; hear, understand, and distinguish speech or other sounds in person.
• Ability to distinguish between shades of color and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

Nice To Haves

• One year of janitorial or porter experience in a casino or similar environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company’s guest service culture.
• Maintain public areas, including slot machines, chairs, slot stands, fixtures, signs, mirrors, and light fixtures up to 9 feet.
• Clean public restrooms by wiping surfaces, sanitizing toilets and urinals, emptying trash, and restocking paper products.
• Remove debris from floors and walkways; vacuum carpets; and mop, sweep, and scrub floors as needed.
• Stock cleaning supplies and regularly empty and clean trash containers.
• Comply with applicable gaming laws, company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations when applicable.
• Provide timely guest service to guests and fellow team members in accordance with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
