About The Position

The EVS Porter supports the daily operations of the Environmental Services department by maintaining cleanliness in guest and team member areas. The role helps deliver excellent guest service, uphold sanitation standards, and maintain a safe, welcoming, attractive, and operationally ready property. The position requires attention to detail and service to both guests and fellow team members.

The role involves maintaining public areas and restrooms, cleaning floors, managing trash, and stocking cleaning supplies. The porter must follow applicable gaming laws, company internal controls, policies and procedures, and federal regulations when applicable. The position may also include other duties as assigned. Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Frequently push and pull up to 50 pounds and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels.
• Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, and twist; frequently stand and walk.
• Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone; hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person.
• Ability to distinguish between shades of color and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

Nice To Haves

• One year of janitorial or porter experience in a casino or similar environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, courteous guest service consistent with the company’s guest service culture.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including slot machines, chairs, slot stands, fixtures, signs, mirrors, and light fixtures up to 9 feet.
• Clean public restrooms by wiping surfaces, sanitizing toilets and urinals, emptying trash containers, and restocking paper products.
• Remove debris from floors and walkways; vacuum carpets; and mop, sweep, and scrub floors as needed.
• Stock cleaning supplies and regularly empty and clean trash containers.
• Comply with applicable gaming laws, company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations when applicable to the position.
• Provide outstanding, timely guest service to guests and fellow team members in keeping with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
