About The Position

The Cashier scans customer selections, verifies prices and quantities, processes payments, issues receipts, answers inquiries, and provides helpful information about products, promotions, and item locations. The role responds to complaints with genuine concern and works to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, accurate service. Cashiers handle tender and coupons, package purchases, recognize different types of produce, and maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked workstation. They also perform activities assigned by a supervisor and follow store, department, and safety policies.

• Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Learn and use the GUEST program.
• Greet customers sincerely, smile, project a friendly manner, engage in casual conversation, show respect for purchases, and thank customers.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by providing solutions to concerns.
• Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
• Properly handle all forms of tender and coupons.
• Package customer purchases in an organized fashion.
• Recognize and differentiate all types of produce.
• Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Perform fixed activities as assigned by a supervisor.
• Follow store and department policies and procedures, including safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
