County Market Cashier
About The Position
The Cashier scans customers’ selections and ensures prices and quantities are accurate, accepts payment, issues receipts, answers inquiries, and provides helpful information about products, promotions, and item locations. Cashiers respond to complaints with genuine concern and help maintain customer satisfaction by resolving concerns. The role also involves handling tender and coupons, packaging purchases, recognizing produce, and keeping the workstation clean, organized, and stocked. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Store-specific requirements may vary, and Niemann Foods Management may change position requirements.

Responsibilities
- Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Learn and use the GUEST program.
- Greet customers sincerely, smile, project a friendly manner, engage in casual conversation, show respect for purchases, and thank customers.
- Provide solutions to customer concerns and complaints.
- Scan and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
- Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
- Package customer purchases in an organized fashion.
- Recognize and differentiate all types of produce.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Perform fixed activities as assigned by a supervisor.
- Follow store, department, and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
