County Market Cashier
About The Position
The Cashier scans customers’ selections, verifies prices and quantities, accepts payments, issues receipts, answers inquiries, and provides helpful information about products, promotions, and item locations. The role also responds to customer complaints with genuine concern and works to resolve customer concerns. Cashiers provide superior guest service by greeting customers sincerely, maintaining a friendly manner, engaging in casual conversation, respecting purchases, and thanking customers. They accurately and promptly process orders, handle tenders and coupons properly, package purchases in an organized fashion, recognize different types of produce, and keep their work area clean, organized, and stocked. They follow store, department, and safety policies and perform assigned activities and other duties as directed by a supervisor.

- Ability to meet the listed vision requirements, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, adjusting focus, and distinguishing colors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Learn and use the GUEST program.
- Greet customers sincerely, project a friendly manner, engage them in casual conversation, show respect for their purchases, and thank them.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by providing solutions to concerns.
- Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
- Ensure proper handling of all forms of tender and coupons.
- Package customer purchases in an organized fashion.
- Recognize and differentiate all types of produce.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Perform fixed activities as assigned by a supervisor.
- Follow all store and department policies and procedures, including safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
