About The Position

CC Holdings is hiring full-time and part-time cashiers for its café at the IU School of Medicine. The role involves serving customers, entering purchases, handling cash, balancing the cash drawer, and supporting café operations. Candidates should be friendly, motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and flexible with availability. Shifts vary between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The starting rate is $13 per hour and up, depending on experience. Employees must be fully vaccinated and provide documentation, or have a medical or religious exemption.

Prior cash-handling experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Balance the cash drawer, make change, enter purchases, and follow cash-handling procedures.
Record orders accurately, receive and give change, and count the drawer to support financial accountability.
Set up the station according to café guidelines and arrive in proper uniform while meeting grooming standards.
Prepare food items as directed, following sanitation, portion-control, and presentation requirements.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Restock items as needed and maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and organized station.
Use and maintain station equipment properly.
Follow food-safety procedures, including sweeping floors, cleaning surfaces, and covering and storing food appropriately.
Serve customers, thank them, invite them to return, and inform them about products, promotions, and other services through suggestive selling.
Work collaboratively with team members to support café operations, standards, and concept.
Act as a role model for customers and staff and help provide on-the-job training for new barista/cashiers.
Assist with other tasks when asked.
