About The Position
The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary function of providing excellent customer service. The role involves greeting and assisting customers, answering incoming telephone calls, processing transactions using the KCX cash register system, accurately handling cash, pricing and stocking merchandise as requested by store management, and handling customer returns. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires availability as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 9:00 p.m., alternating weekends, and approximately 25 hours per week. The work takes place in a retail store environment that may include cold and warm conditions and an irregular schedule. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Frequent bending and twisting.
- Availability as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 9:00 p.m., and ability to work alternating weekends.
