About The Position

The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary function of providing excellent customer service. The position is approximately 25 hours per week, with availability needed as early as 7:30 a.m. and as late as 9:00 p.m. The schedule is irregular and includes alternating weekends. The pay range is $16.00–$17.00, depending on experience. A generous discount is offered. The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The work takes place in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions. The position involves frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Greet customers entering the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Handle customer returns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
