About The Position

The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to guests. The role involves greeting and assisting guests, providing information and directions, determining charges, processing payments, categorizing tickets, maintaining cash banks, operating registers and related equipment, and completing shift reports. The work is routine and performed according to established practices and procedures, with frequent checking or verification.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting three-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds, and performing these operations with American currency.
• Ability to read and write standard English, understand simple instructions and short correspondence, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.
• Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates applicable to time passed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greet guests promptly and treat them with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
• Maintain accuracy and composure under pressure, use the appropriate salutation, welcome guests, and follow proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
• Assist guests with directions and inquiries and provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and nearby attractions.
• Determine guest charges; process cash, credit, or direct-billing payments; categorize tickets for audit purposes; collect and reconcile revenue; and furnish receipts.
• Complete accurate and timely shift reports, follow procedures for cash banks, operate registers, gates, and credit card machines, and obtain information about daily events and rates.
• Complete tasks promptly as instructed by the Lead Cashier or Account Manager.
